David R. Brake is a Shareholder and principal member of the law firm of Knaggs Brake, P.C.,

located in Lansing, Michigan. He has been in private practice since 1986.

Mr. Brake’s practice is focused on business and real estate transactions, estate and trust administration, probate litigation, conservatorship and guardianship matters, and estate planning. He has successfully litigated cases in State and Federal Courts across the State of Michigan. He has handled numerous appeals, including four cases before the Michigan Supreme Court. He is rated “AV” by Martindale Hubbell, a peer review system, which is the highest designation.

Mr. Brake has substantial involvement with State and local Bar organizations. He was elected to two terms as a Commissioner of the State Bar of Michigan, where he served on the Finance and Professional Standards Committees. He was appointed to the State Bar of Michigan Unauthorized Practice of Law Committee, where he was the Chair of the Real Estate Subcommittee. He is a past President of the Ingham County Bar Association and a current member of the Ingham County Bar Foundation Board of Directors.

 

Mr. Brake is married and resides with his wife in Delta Township, Michigan.
